What your child gets, and what they never get.

MathsSolve gives step-by-step help that explains the maths, not just the answer — on any phone or school laptop. Here is what that means in practice, in plain terms.

What they get

• Working for every step, with a short reason for each one, laid out like a good textbook.
• Answers checked wherever a check is possible. When we can't check an answer, we say so clearly. How we check answers explains the methods.
• Hints first, so they can try the next step themselves before they're shown it. They can also type in their own answer and check it.
• Works anywhere. It runs in a web browser on phones, tablets, Chromebooks and school laptops. There's nothing to install, and no account is needed.

The calculators, with full working, are free to use as often as they like.

What they never get

• Ads. None, whether you pay or not.
• Chats with strangers. There's no messaging, no public profiles and no comments.
• Their data sold. We never sell student data or use it for advertising.
• Their photos stored. Photos are used to read the question, then thrown away.
• Pressure to buy. Students under 18 don't see buy buttons, and we don't send them offers.

How the AI is kept safe

• Maths only. The AI helps with maths problems and nothing else.
• No pretending. We tell students clearly when they're using an AI.
• Filters on everything. Content filters check everything that goes into the AI and everything that comes out, before your child sees it.
• No personal questions. We never ask students for personal details.
• Real help when it matters. If a message suggests a child may be in danger or distress, we show a supportive message and real helpline numbers for their country.

What it costs

• Free: every calculator with full working, as often as you like, plus a daily allowance of free AI solves for photos and word problems.
• Pro: $6.99 a month, or $49.99 a year. Pro gives more AI solves each day and more help with each step. Where we offer a local currency, you'll see the price in it before you pay.
• India (coming soon): one-time passes paid by UPI — ₹299 for 30 days or ₹749 for 90 days. Passes don't renew automatically.

14-day refund: if it isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund — see our Refund policy. Cancel any time: Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

The person paying must be 18 or over.

How to buy Pro for a student

Coming soon. This is how it will work:

1. You choose a plan and, when asked who it's for, select A student.
2. We email you a code.
3. Your child enters the code in their own MathsSolve account, on the Redeem page.

That's it. We don't link your account to your child's, we don't show you their activity, we don't send them reminders, and we never ask for your child's name. If you cancel a subscription, their Pro continues until the end of the period you've paid for, then they go back to the free plan.

Questions parents ask

Is it cheating?

It depends how it's used. MathsSolve is built for learning: Hints first gives a nudge instead of the answer, every step comes with a reason, and your child can check their own answer before looking at ours. Our terms ask students to follow their school's rules and never to use MathsSolve in an exam or assessment where it isn't allowed.

What data do you keep?

As little as we can.

• Without an account, we don't know who your child is. We use one anonymous cookie and a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of the internet address to count free AI uses each day.
• Typed problems are solved in the browser and aren't sent to us unless an AI feature is used.
• Photos are not stored.
• With an account, we keep a name, email address, sign-in method and an age range — not their date of birth.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time, from Settings → Billing, in one step. Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. If you change your mind within 14 days of your first payment, you can have a full refund. India passes never renew, so there's nothing to cancel.

What age is it for?

Anyone can use the calculators without an account. Accounts are for ages 13 and up. Anyone buying Pro must be 18 or over. The topics run from fractions and long division up to equations, statistics, limits and derivatives, so it suits most students at secondary school.

Who do I contact?

Use the support link in your account, or email us at the address shown on our website. We're happy to answer questions from parents and guardians, and we'll delete your child's data on request.
