Terms of Service
The terms for using MathsSolve — a maths learning tool for students and teachers.
Last updated: 2026-10-08
1. What MathsSolve is
MathsSolve is a learning tool. It shows worked solutions, graphs, hints and practice problems so you can understand maths and check your own work. By using MathsSolve you agree to these terms.
2. Learning, not cheating
Use MathsSolve to learn the method and check your working. Follow your school's, exam board's and teacher's rules on the use of calculators and AI tools. Do not use MathsSolve during exams or assessments where it is not allowed.
3. Accuracy
Standard problems are solved by a computer algebra system and, whenever possible, checked by an independent method before we show a Verified stamp. Problems solved by AI (photos, word problems, proofs) may contain mistakes, and we label them clearly. Always use your own judgement, and use Report a mistake if something looks wrong.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload or type anything sexual, violent, hateful, illegal or otherwise inappropriate — MathsSolve is used by children;
- upload photos of people, personal documents or other people's personal information;
- attempt to overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or abuse the service or its free limits;
- resell access or share a paid account outside your household.
We may block content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Accounts and age
You can use the calculators without an account. Accounts are for ages 13 and up. Purchases must be made by an adult (18+) — usually a parent or guardian, who can buy Pro for a student.
6. Plans, fair use and payments
- No ads. We do not show advertising on MathsSolve, whether you pay or not, and we never sell student data. This is a commitment we make to you in these terms.
- Calculators with full steps are free. AI features include a free daily allowance.
- Pro (and Teacher, when available) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in the currency shown at checkout. In some regions we offer one-time passes that do not renew. Prices may differ by region.
- AI features on paid plans have daily fair-use limits (currently up to 30 AI solves per day on Pro) so the service stays fast for everyone.
- You can cancel at any time from your account; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds: full refund within 14 days of your first payment (see Refund policy). This does not affect any rights you have under local consumer law.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the problems and work you submit. You give us permission to process them to provide the service. We do not store your photos.
8. Our content
The MathsSolve name, logo, design, software and written content belong to us. Worksheets you generate may be printed and shared freely for teaching and learning.
9. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep MathsSolve available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions made based on a solution. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will show the date of the latest version at the top, and tell account holders about significant changes.
These terms are a working draft prepared for launch and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before the service is opened to the public.
